I started this work at HakubaHub after years of hosting international travelers from a renovated Airbnb in Tokyo. My family kept skiing in Hakuba, and I saw how hard it was for English-speaking visitors to find honest, plain-language information about Japan's mountain regions.
ShigakogenHub is the sister site for the Shiga Kogen plateau and the onsen towns of Yudanaka and Shibu just below it. The geography is different — Shiga Kogen is mostly inside a national park, so most real estate sits in Yamanouchi-machi outside the park boundary — but the editorial standards are the same: cite the source, label opinions, and never pretend to be a licensed agent.
